Dear Voters,

The city of Lowell is in perfect position to take advantage of the global economy.  Especially with Greater Lowell’s multi-cultural community.  Lowell must invest and believe in the young people of Lowell.  In 2004, the Lowell Sun reported that there was seven kids per every computer in Lowell High School.  Those numbers shouldn’t be acceptable to city officials or voters.  MCAS testing is a good start in testing kids on reading, but advances in reading comes outside of school and books which develop the love of reading.

We were all disappointed in the outcome of the 2004 Presidential Election.  I feel that local city elections are where real changes comes.  In a city council election, every residents vote counts.  Local elections are the people’s election and you have nine very important choices.

Yours truly,
Darius Mitchell
